I try to keep the absolute minimum number of apps on my Mac and tend to do a clean install every time I get a new one, here’s what I have right now:
- 1Password 7

- ChatGPT (I made a dock app using the feature in macOS Sonoma)
- CleanShot X
- DBngin
- Figma
- Google Chrome (though I tend to mainly use Safari)
- LM Studio
- Magnet
- MenubarClock
- Meeter
- Music
- Ollama

- Noir
- Notes
- PhpStorm
- Pixelmator Pro
- Quitter (by Marco Arment)

WordPress
I use WordPress for all my website builds (clients and my own), apart from occasional GitHub Pages sites for simple landing pages. The plugins / stack I typically use are…
WordPress plugins
- Advanced Custom Fields PRO
- BE Media From Production (a slightly modified version so it only runs locally)
- Block Visibility
- Cloudflare
- FacetWP
- Fatal Error Notify
- Gravity Forms
- Perfmatters
- SearchWP (on smaller sites)
- Simple Analytics (for my sites)
- WP Migrate
WordPress plugins (support)
WordPress hosting
- SpinupWP with Digital Ocean (for my sites)
- Pagely (for client sites)
- WP Engine (for client sites)
iPhone 13 Pro Max
There’s not been anything I really want in the newer editions of the iPhone and I think I prefer the notch at the top rather than the floating / Dynamic Island version (even though the Dynamic Island is a cool idea), so I’m still rolling with my iPhone 13 Pro Max for now.
