• You were worried what someone else might think
• You felt you had to ask permission first
• You didn’t say what you really thought, went along with the consensus and now it’s too late (the opportunity has passed)

I know because I’ve done all of these things and I felt horrible about them.

But it would be even more horrible to let them put me off trying again.
